Pat opened up:
Treasurer:
- almost $4000 in the bank to spend
- Pat will provide an itemized bill for the media cart that arrived
- Signing authority has been done
Pizza:
- no extra orders
OCDSB:
- n/a
OCASC:
- Paul presented the survey that he collected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Constitution:
- the original Constitution was on a hard drive that has apparently crashed
- there should be a hard copy in the Vice Principal's office
- there is a discussion for us to examine other Constitutions and come up with during a pizza night using the Parent's Involvement Fund.
Family Literacy Day:
- January 27th book exchange and sale – possibly move it to another day to accommodate Judy
- The book exchange and sale can kick off a Readathon to Family Day weekend
- Communicate via a slip of paper/note/bookmark for the books to advertise the Readathon
Greening:
- Greening was brought up
Other Activities:
- Sir Wilfred Laurier are organizing a toy mountain – we're raising money for mosquito screening
- The Parent Involvement Committee has more rules/mandates and if people are interested, contact Julie for more information
- People for Education – we're going to go ahead and get our membership in for $50
- Sporty Life was brought up again and Pat will look into finding a teacher for running it
- Julie brought up a survey to help round out information to assist in making excellent use of the Parent's Involvement Fund – the idea is to have these surveys available at the school Concerts near the fruit/veggie plates – use the Maggie Mamen book and DVD set as a raffle.
